I got to say that i like your take on Thor. It's good mix of old and new. I'm from the country where the character originated. So this makes me a bit proud to be Norwegian! A Job well done. Fine piece of art!
The Thor from the hit movie is not based on the one you know from Norse Mythology friend. He is based of a complete reinterpretation of the character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in the 60s. This one is a champion from American comic books and is not meant to reflect the one the Norse used to praise; though he is inspired by the Norse god your referring to.
I'm well aware of that, thank you. What you seem to be unaware of is that I'm criticizing the super hero, not the Norse God. If you look at the Thor from Norse mythology, then comparing him to the super hero, the contrast is ridiculous.
Oh then I misunderstood you. Didn't really look where you come from, sorry for that. Well it's isn't a huge difference between the mythology and the movie. I don't think people would like the movie if he didn't have armor and didn't look like a hero. I mean, at least he doesnt have clothes similar to the rest of the marvel heroes. I like the movie, though I prefer the real version, but the appearance fits in the movie, at least that's my opinion.
